Vietnam-Finland Innovation Partnership Programme, Phase 2 (IPP) and Ho Chi Minh City Energy Conservation Centre’s Saigon Innovation Hub (SIHUB) are organizing a Training of Trainers program on Entrepreneurship & Innovation (TOT-HCM) for HCMC based universities. TOT-HCM comprises an intensive 2-week bootcamp in April and follow-on workshops in May and July. TOT-HCM builds on the Art of Business Creation curriculum developed and piloted by IPP in 2016, aimed at engaging universities in the development of local E&I ecosystems across Vietnam.
After the open call conclusion on 14 of March, IPP experts have selected 28 highly motivated individual participants from 6 universities in Ho Chi Minh city. The selection was based on the passion for improvement, curiosity for co-creation and potential for further collaboration and connectivity.

Vietnam-Finland Innovation Partnership Program (IPP) is an Official Development Assistance (ODA) program financed jointly by the governments of Vietnam and Finland. IPP is in its second and final phase running through 2014-2018 with EUR 11 million budget. IPP targets long-term benefits for the Vietnamese economy and E&I ecosystem. The program works with key national and international partners to scale up practical E&I training as well as to improve local support mechanisms and programs for Vietnamese new innovative companies. IPP connects key actors in the ecosystem in order to build a strong foundation for Vietnam’s next-generation entrepreneurs and promotes partnerships between Vietnamese and other, particularly Finnish businesses. Saigon Innovation Hub is a strategic entity of Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Science and Technology to implement its activities and policies regarding entrepreneurship and innovation. The Hub bridges the entrepreneurial community of the City with the supporting resources from the Department and its many international and local partners. It aims to (1) raise awareness and build a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, (2) develop a sustainable and fruitful entrepreneurial ecosystem and (3) directly and indirectly foster the creation and growth of many of the City’s potential start-ups.
