IPP Grand Harvest Day — Our biggest and most exciting event On 6th of July

IPP most anticipated event coming this July.

Over the past 4 years, Vietnam-Finland Innovation Partnership Program (IPP) main objective is to support Vietnam’s overall goal of becoming an innovation-driven knowledge economy. Together with you — the entrepreneur, the dreamer, the educator, the policymaker, the connector, the mentor, the enabler and more —  we have been striving for a healthy and sustainable innovation ecosystem in Vietnam, with entrepreneurship and innovation (E&I) taking the lead.

When our programme first started in 2014, local E&I activities were few and far between. Now, in 2018, we are happy to see that E&I in Vietnam is stronger than ever,  we are seeing more and more initiatives from both the government and the public engaging in value creation. Vietnam’s startups and innovation scene have truly changed for the better in that short-duration. All of this couldn’t have been possible without your valuable contribution to the ecosystem as a whole.

We are proud of the results we have created, that’s why we want to bring you our biggest event, IPP Grand Harvest Day. This is an opportunity to gather the IPP community and celebrate our journey together. More importantly, this last event is for us to join forces together, find a common understanding on existing challenges and co-create for a better future.

  • Time: 8:30 – 18:00, Friday, 6th July 2018
  • Location: JW Marriott Hotel, 8 Đỗ Đức Dục, Nam Từ Liêm, Hà Nội

Event Activities:

1. Showcase IPP results and harvest: disseminating IPP knowledge products; highlighting noteworthy innovation projects; IPP life story exhibition;

2. Thematic Group Discussions to reflect on lessons learnt on 3 topics:
– E&I Education creating capabilities for knowledge-based economy
– Innovation funding for growth companies
– Facilitation and funding of Ecosystem building

3. Open Forum on “Developing a Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem” — Using Open Space Technology.

Imagine going to a meeting where there is no fixed agenda, only an invitation in the form of a question that is burningly relevant to your work life, and the knowledge that you will meet others who are as passionate about the topic as you are. Together with the other participants, you will take full responsibility for ensuring that you get to talk about what you want to talk about. Individuals post sessions on the large blank agenda on the wall and everybody moves freely between self-organising conversations in break-out rooms or small circles for most of the duration of the meeting. Towards the end, everybody gets back together to share the fruits of their conversations and announce any action that they have decided to take as a result.

4. Networking activities and gifts giving.

Today our alumni community comprises of over 500 members from a wide range of professions and organisations, from startups to universities to government to ecosystem builders. We believe that this diversity is our greatest source of strength and inspirations. As such, we always take great joy in holding space for you to connect and creating new things together.

The main focus of this event is for us to connect with each other, harness our community collective wisdom, and co-create for a better future. While IPP will come to an end this October, we want to keep the fire of entrepreneurship in Vietnam burning brighter even after our programme conclusion.

Please let us know your attendance by filling this registration form.
Some attendants from those regions outside of Hanoi will be sponsored airticket and hotel room. Check the link https://goo.gl/forms/EGEFZfSE3M8OmO5F3 for more details and fill in a different registration & booking form.

In addition to the main program on Friday, we will also organise a welcome dinner on Thursday at 18:00 for all participants — tentatively at TOP.U Beer Lounge, 3rd Floor OCD building, number 1 O Cho Dua, Dong Da, Hanoi. We will send a personal invitation email to the participants with the registration form. Participants who are based outside of Hanoi will receive travel and accommodation support from us when attending the event. While we want to provide travel and accommodation support to as many participants as possible, because we have a limited capacity, we will prioritize those who register earlier.

As this will be one of the last “official” IPP events where the community will get together, we will organise a gift exchange among the community. This means that you have the chance to get a very special gift from someone else! We encourage all participants to bring a gift of their own to be given to the gifts party.

We are in full preparation mode in the meantime to make this enjoyable for all participants.  We hope that you will find the time to join us and we look forward to seeing you on this special occasion.
