IPP offers a practical Training of Trainers Program for individuals that are interested in becoming or improving their skills as innovation coaches, mentors, trainers and consultants. The first group of 12 individuals from different backgrounds will be trained over the course of 8 months in 2015. The second ToT course for university and other training institution staff will commence in early 2016.
The graduates of these programs will operate in different parts of the innovation system and are expected to help scale up practical innovation and entrepreneurship training and mentorship in Vietnam.
The 2015 ToT Program in a nutshell
The training for future Innovation Champions is an eight-month intensive Training of Trainers program designed to provide essential knowledge and skills to professionals who will be engaged in Innovation Work – the process of creating new products or services that address an important need for potential customers. The training is designed to provide these core knowledge and skills to Vietnamese citizens who will not only be able to facilitate successful Innovation Projects, but will also be able to train others in conducting successful Innovation Work. The training is a full-time commitment, meaning that participants may not have any other full-time employment during the eight months of the program. Trainees will receive a monthly stipend to cover their living expenses, in addition to any necessary travel, lodging, and other costs for the duration of the program. The first phase of the Program consists of two months of intensive training with professional trainers. After the two month intensive training has been completed, trainees will be responsible for facilitating Innovation Projects supported by IPP2.
The final call for Expressions of Interest for the 2015 Training of Trainers program closed on May 8th, 2015. The 2015 course began in June.
