The TOT-HCM program consists of two weeks boot-camp training from April 4 to April 14, 2017. The boot-camp will be followed by two additional training workshops in May and July 2017. TOT- HCMC was built on the basis of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E&I) Open Curriculum developed by IPP2 and piloted in 2016 with the goal of joining local universities across the country together for the development of an innovative startup ecosystem. The program has selected 28 lecturers from 6 universities within HCMC, including: Hoa Sen University, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, University of Science Ho Chi Minh city (HCMUS), University of Labour and Social Affairs II, Vietnamese-German University and Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City. During 10 days of Boot Camp, the participating lecturers worked together and experienced an extensive training program covering startups tools, methodologies, innovative mindset together with international experts with extensive knowledge who have worked all across the world. The program also invites representatives from start-ups, ecosystem developers, key stakeholders to share and support the IPP2 training program and SIHUB during its duration.
The results after two weeks of intensive training are proposals for developing support services for startups ecosystems, this was developed by joint teams of lecturers from local universities participating in Boot Camp. This will plant a seed to further develop support programs and projects that will benefit the startup ecosystem in the future.
