Huế, 27.03.2018 – IPP together with Hue Industrial College, our partner in Hue, have organized the Training of Trainer on Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program in Hue city. After 8 days of intensive training, 34 lecturers and staff representing 14 universities, colleges, mostly from the Central region have completed their training and become certified innovation lecturers. This is the last activity as part of the cooperation program between the Vietnam-Finland Innovation Partnership Programme (IPP) and Vietnamese universities to expand the training programs on entrepreneurship and innovation in universities, promote the development of innovation and startup ecosystem in Vietnam.
In an effort to develop a healthy and sustainable innovation ecosystem for Vietnam, IPP has organized a number of capacity building activities on E&I according to international standards for individuals, organizations and universities in Vietnam. Since 2016, IPP has trained and certified about 150 lecturers on E&I from 50 universities, colleges and education organizations through 5 courses nationwide. The training contents are based on IPP open-source curriculum on Entrepreneurship and Innovation developed by IPP team of international experts from Finland and the United States. With the focus on providing knowledge, skills and tools for entrepreneurship through the application of innovative teaching methodologies. These ToT courses have contributed significantly to the development of startups and innovation ecosystem in Vietnam. By providing high-quality consultants and lecturers to promote changing mindset, sustainable development and a culture of innovation in Vietnam.
HUEIC is among those partners from the Central region, selected by IPP to transfer knowledge related to the implementation of a ToT course, giving them the capacity to design and deliver independent training courses at a later date.
ToT2-Hue is an 8-day bootcamp training session held from 19 to 27 March 2018 at HUEIC’s Innovation Center. The training is taught by three international trainers with many years of experience in teaching and consulting on E&I in many countries around the world. In addition, during the eight days of Bootcamp, guest speakers such as startup entrepreneurs, investors, ecosystem builders, and so on are invited to share experiences and open discussion with the participants.

Upon graduation from ToT2 Hue, the lecturers will have 2 month practicing the development and implementation of training programs on E&I in various forms in to serve the need of each university. They will serve as an important resource to promote the sustainable and healthy development of startup ecosystem in the Central region and wider Vietnam.

Vietnam-Finland Innovation Partnership Program (IPP) is an Official Development Assistance (ODA) program financed jointly by the governments of Vietnam and Finland. Hue Industrial College (HueIC) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade is one of the most prestigious and qualified training institutions in Vietnam for nearly 125 years.
